Appliance Repair in Spokane Valley, WA
Owner-Operated | Same Rate as Spokane, No Distance Surcharge | Open 7 Days | Licensed, Bonded and Insured in Washington

If your dryer has stopped heating, your refrigerator has quit making ice, or your dishwasher is leaving standing water in the tub, you are in the right place. Sergei repairs all of it in Spokane Valley homes.
Spokane Valley is the largest market SD Appliance covers outside Spokane itself, and it is about 15 to 20 minutes from the South Hill. Refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, dishwashers, and everything else are repaired in your home.
SD Appliance is Sergei Dergunov, working out of the South Hill since 2020 and repairing appliances since 2013. You call him, he does the repair, and the rate here is the same as anywhere else on the map.
What Spokane Valley houses mean for the repair
The Valley is genuinely mixed. It was incorporated in 2003 from six already-built communities, so it did not grow the way a new suburb does. Roughly a third of the housing was built before 1969 and close to half after 1980, which puts two quite different generations of appliances side by side across the same few streets.
Sergei describes it the same way: older, smaller houses on one street, and newer construction, bigger houses and duplexes on the next. About 58 percent of homes here are owner-occupied and 42 percent rented, a higher rental share than the north-county communities and higher than it was a decade ago.
In practice that means the two ends of the workload sit here together: twenty-year-old machines where the failure is mechanical and the part is cheap, and newer units where the fault is a board or a sensor and the diagnosis is the whole job.
One city made out of six older communities
This is worth knowing if you are not sure your address falls inside Spokane Valley, because a lot of people here still give it by the old name.
When the city incorporated in 2003, it took in Dishman, Opportunity, Trentwood, Veradale, East Spokane and part of Greenacres. All of those are inside the city now, and they are all covered on this page. Millwood and Liberty Lake stayed out of it and are separate cities to this day. Both are covered at the same rate, too.
None of that changes the price. There is no zone pricing, no minimum job size and no distance surcharge anywhere in the Valley, and the service call is the same $89 it is on the South Hill.
Getting out to the Valley, and where the boundary actually runs
It is about seven miles from the South Hill and takes about 15 to 20 minutes, making the Valley one of the shortest runs on the map.
Scheduling, not price
At seven miles out, the drive changes the scheduling rather than the price. Whether a visit can happen today depends on the hour you call, where the day already is, and whether the part is on the van, and you get that answer straight on the phone.
Millwood, wrapped on three sides
The boundary is worth a word, because it is an odd one. Millwood is a separate incorporated city, and Spokane Valley wraps around it on three sides.
Liberty Lake, its own page
Liberty Lake, on the far side of the Valley, is also its own city and has its own page.
Every appliance we repair in Spokane Valley
Everything he repairs in a Spokane home, he repairs in a Spokane Valley home. The detail on each one, including what tends to fail and whether it is worth fixing, is on the appliance page.
What is not repaired, anywhere on the map
The list above is the whole of it. What falls outside is worth stating plainly, because it saves a phone call.
Repairs only, in your home
Appliances are not installed, a new unit is not set into cabinetry, and nothing is reconnected after a kitchen remodel. The one exception anywhere on the site is a like-for-like garbage disposal swap.
Residential only
Houses, apartments and rental units are the business. Commercial kitchens, restaurants and commercial refrigeration are not taken on: no commercial at all.
No shop, no drop-off, no factory authorization
Nothing gets carried anywhere, because there is nowhere to carry it to. There is also no factory authorization, which means manufacturer-warranty repairs are not performed. If your appliance is still under its manufacturer’s warranty, you will be told to use that coverage rather than being sold a repair you could have had for free.
What people in Spokane Valley say
“Sergei from SD Appliance Repair is exceptional! This brother came out on a Sunday to help us get past an issue with our dryer. Incredibly personable, a consummate professional, extremely knowledgeable and efficient.”
“Had problems with my 10yr old Maytag Epic-Z washer. Sergei showed up on time, and promply diagnosed the problem. He had to order the part. He came back another day, after the part arrived. I REALLY appreciate good customer service.. It’s all about communication, and NOT leaving the customer hanging.”
Booking a visit in Spokane Valley
The call comes to Sergei rather than a booking service. There is no call center and no dispatcher, so you are talking to the person who will be standing in your kitchen. Tell him the brand, the model number if you can find it, and what the appliance is actually doing, and he can often say what he expects to find before he sets off from the South Hill.
Common parts ride on the van. Anything less common is ordered in, and nothing gets ordered without your approval on the part and the price. Local counter stock for appliance parts is thin, so anything less common comes from out of town and takes a few business days.
The same person diagnoses it, prices it and does the work, on the first visit and again on the return visit if a part has to be ordered.
What the visit costs
The same $89 in Dishman, Veradale or Trentwood as on the South Hill. It covers travel, inspection and diagnostic time, goes toward the repair if you go ahead, and stands on its own if you decide not to.
Flat, upfront pricing
Once the fault is known, you get a flat price for the repair before any work starts. The price quoted is the price paid. It does not go up because the job took longer than expected or because the part was harder to reach than it looked.
30 to 90 day warranty
Parts and labor are warranted for 30 to 90 days as stated on your invoice. The full terms, exclusions included, are on the warranty page.
No weekend or holiday premium
There is no weekend or holiday premium. A Saturday, a Sunday or a holiday is billed like a weekday.
Financing & military discount
Zero-interest financing through Wisetack is available on repairs over $500 for eligible customers, and active-duty service members and veterans get 15% off labor. Terms are on the financing page.
Questions people in Spokane Valley ask
No. Same rate as the South Hill, no distance surcharge, and no minimum job size.
Yes. Dishman, Opportunity, Trentwood, Veradale, East Spokane, and part of Greenacres became Spokane Valley in 2003, and all are covered here.
Sometimes, and it is not written here as a guarantee. It depends on the hour you call, where you are, and whether the part is on the van. You get a straight answer on the call. More on same-day repair.
Yes. More than four in ten homes in the Valley are rented, and work orders, tenant coordination, and pre-authorization are all normal. More on property management repairs.
Yes, at the same rate. Millwood is its own small city, with Spokane Valley wrapped around it on three sides, and it sits on the same map.
Often yes, because on an older machine the failure is usually mechanical and the part is cheap. On a newer machine it is more often a board or a sensor and the math changes. You get the numbers before you spend anything, and there is more on repair or replace.
Often. With the brand, the model number, and a clear description of what the appliance is doing, he can usually narrow it down on the phone.
